The inaugural exhibition focuses on the 5+ styles of the Strata series of paintings. Originally inspired by cross sections of the geological sedimentary layers, these works have evolved to include many variations on a meditative theme. With thick oil on canvas and linen, the paintings touch upon the layering of color within land, water, light, and atmosphere. These works further demonstrate Timothy's expertise in wet-on-wet painting and his forever investment with the impasto play of oil. As Timothy says, "I delight in layering oil's frosting like hues."
